Shruti
A bhakti art house for all devotional music lovers
Overview
We believe the divine is something to be experienced and realised - not received as dogma. Devotional music is a way back to our personal connection with the divine, and can help us become instruments through which our unique creative gifts can flow.
We host sacred sound and music gatherings, online and in London, led by devotional singers and nāda yoga practitioners.
Our events are open to everyone and we also hold gatherings just for queer and trans+ folks.
From page to stage
For those who are ready to take their devotion further, we help publish new devotional art - music, films, books, games and more, with aligned artists who keep all their rights.

Our Offerings
We centre the wisdom of women, queer and trans+ folks with our inclusive devotional offerings.
Sunday Kirtans (queer and trans+ only)
Join us on Sunday’s for an online queer and trans+ community check-in and kirtan. A chance to receive care, connect with folks from across the world and share kirtan together.
Events are by-donation. Register here and sign-up to our newsletter for announcements.
Sacred Sound Circle (London)
A peer community for new and emerging sound practitioners to connect and practice together. We welcome all levels of experience working with voice, sound, mantra, kirtan, sound healing and devotional music.
Where possible, we spotlight an experienced singer or musician, who shares their journey with the community.
This is a queer and trans+ inclusive space, open to all folks. Register here and join the WhatsApp group.
Gopis Assemble (coming soon)
We spotlight the world’s self-identified gopis (milkmaids and cowherd girls of Vrindavan) through podcast interviews, photography sessions and events. The main question we ask each guest is “How do you serve God while serving yourself and the people around you?"
A Bhakti Artist’s Way (coming soon)
An 8-week online course for devotion as a creative path. With Julia Cameron's ‘The Artist’s Way’ as our map and bhakti as our ground, we practise becoming instruments for the divine to create through us. No experience needed - bring a notebook, a willing heart, and your own copy of the book!
Our work is informed by ancient yoga traditions including Bhakti (loving devotion), Karma (selfless action) and Nāda yoga (sound).
Shruti: Rooted in Yoga Wisdom
For those…
interested in sacred sound, personal growth and creative expression
who desire gentle, structured support from group facilitators who can hold nuance, uncertainty, and mixed feelings.
who want to be in a shared community, respecting others’ experiences, and keeping what’s shared confidential.
Not for if you…
are looking for a debate about whether queer and trans+ people should exist, or a platform for anti‑trans views; we are a gender‑affirming, queer‑respecting space.
are in acute crisis (e.g. active self‑harm, suicidal intent, psychosis) and need urgent or ongoing clinical mental‑health care.
need medical or legal advice.
"Shruti was born out of a desire to see queer people share music and devotional spaces with friends and allies.”
